BR INTERCITY 47841

CLASS 47 : CO-CO

The BR Class 47 is a diesel-electric locomotive developed by Brush Traction in the 1960s. Between 1962 and 1968, 512 were built at Crewe Works and Brush’s Falcon Works, and many of them have remained in use for passenger and freight trains on Britain’s mainline and heritage railways ever since.

Engine No.47841’s external condition is very attractive but has been used as a source of spares for Locomotive Services Ltd’s fleet of Class 47s, and is highly unlikely to ever run again.
